Thank you for visiting our website!

Let me introduce us, and give you a little background on Wilson Valley Horse Farm.

When Terry and I married in 1996 it was a new beginning for us.  We needed a name for our business and since the "Farm" sits in a valley it just seemed natural to call it Wilson Valley.  Terry had already selected the direction of our breeding program before we met; he has always liked the working cow horses, so he chose mares with bloodlines tracing back to the old foundation horses.

Together we bring over 50 years of combined horsemanship to our breeding program.  We know what we like in a horse and our horses are our passion.  Terry and I believe strongly in natural horsemanship.  Our horses are raised with love and patience and are all part of our extended family.  We believe in allowing our foals to be horses and do not try to imprint them.  They do get the hands on experience they receive the first few weeks of life. They then learn from their mothers that we are friends and it is nice to be petted and scratched when we arrive to check them out in the pasture each day.  We know them and their dispositions and will work with you to find the right horse for you.

We breed our mares to produce the best working and performance horses that our customers can buy, at a reasonable price.  We breed exclusively Foundation Quarter horses.  The colts we have to offer for sale are able to be double registered AQHA and FQHA.  We guarantee our foals Foundation percentage to be 90% or higher.

The bloodlines of our horses will speak for themselves: King 234, Doc Bar, Poco Bueno, Continental King, Tee Jay Roman, Sonnys Calvin (AQHA Champion) own son of Sonny Dee Bar, Jackie Bee, Two Eyed Jack, Peppy San, Leo San and JB King.

Our website is created and designed by Ray  Nath our Son-in-law.   Thanks for the fantastic job you have done and continue to do!  Thanks to our Daughter-in-law Kate who is our resident editor and designer of our flyers and marketing visuals. Great job! Thanks to our Son Jon our number one "helping hand".  He can do most anything asked of him, whether it be working with horses or fixing vehicles.  All of the above have also put in their time cleaning stalls and stacking hay.  A special thanks to Brent and Amy Lester our friends and adopted "kids" for putting together a business plan to help us focus on marketing the performance foundation quarter horses that our customers want.

Enjoy your visit and if you would like to come and see our farm please e-mail us or give us a ring.  We can always make time to visit and show you our pride and joys.

Sincerely,

Terry and Nancy Wilson
