Velvet is a special mare to us, she was imprinted by her original owner and it took her awhile to adjust to being a horse. She preferred to be with us when we were close. She would be right behind us or beside us and an outsider with the rest of the horses. She has finally come to realize that she is a "horse" and has taken her place within the herd holding her own and behaving like the rest of the mares she is with. She has a marvelous confirmation and pretty little head with a nice blaze. She has passed on her confirmation and good looks to her palomino filly colt "April"  If you can find a better palomino filly within several states I would be surprised. Velvet is in foal this year to our buckskin stallion "Cisco" and we are eagerly looking forward to seeing what the two of them give us. It was a difficult choice to make as to who to breed her to. Her extended pedigree has Beau Bonanza, J B King, Puffed Man, Miss Lu Lena. You can view her pedigree below. Velvet is not broke to ride but I am sure that it would be a easy job to train her, given her love of people and gentle disposition. Right now she is a brood mare deluxe.
